Dear Admins - I've been navigating the forum board looking for info on how to report an offensive PM. I see the one on reporting a post but nothing on PM's. And the PM's don't have a report button like the posts do. Do you see all the PM's as well as the posts and deal with them that way? Or does there need to be something that spells out the steps available to report a PM? Also, it might be a good idea to let posters know of the ignore option available to them.

Just trying to bring this to your attention to make this more clear (though I'm not sure my post is).

Good question, comedy. It is important that everyone knows what to do if they should receive an offensive or harrassing PM. First of all, there is no way we (the admin team) will know about it unless you report it to us. The best way to go about doing that is to forward the offending PM to a member of the admin team. It may be a good idea to forward it to two or three members, as none of us can be online all the time, and things such as vacations and family emergencies do come up, which could cause a delay in taking care of your concern. For reference, here are the screen names of the admin team members... please feel free to PM any of us with your concerns.

Another good thing to point out is that if someone repeatedly sends you PM's that you do not wish to receive, you can choose to ignore them. To do this, while you have a PM open, press the "add to buddies" button at the bottom left of the PM. This will bring up a screen which shows all the users you have added to your buddy list, as well as a section for adding a new buddy. The name of the person who sent you the PM will already appear in the box, and to the right of this box there is an option that asks wether you want this person to be able to message you. Choose no, and the person will be blocked from sending PM's to your inbox.

I hope this helps! smile.gif
