Eli deserved the MVP but people shouldn't forget David Tyree, who made just about the best Super Bowl catch I ever saw, which kept the game-wining drive alive on third down. With a guy all over him he got one hand on Eli Manning's huge chuck down the field. He managed to pin it against his helmet as he was getting tackled, still in midair, mind you, and land hard and hold onto the ball, which narrowly missed touching the ground, which would have made it incomplete. Plus he caught a touchdown pass. So, should have been co-MVPs, imo.

the ball can touch the ground and still be complete as long as the ground doesn't cause the ball to move.
i didn't really think anyone deserved to be the MVP. maybe tyree for the 2 good catches. more likely the MVP should have been given to the giants D-line.

Chad Johnson shoved a Bengals media relations employee following Pro Bowl practice Thursday, according to FOXSports.com's Alex Marvez.
T.O. II? Marvez, with Bengals employee Michael Lipman beside him, asked Johnson if he felt better after venting at the Super Bowl last week. Johnson walked away, and when Lipman asked again, Chad reportedly shoved him and "stared him down." Johnson later admitted on the NFL Network that he's "gotten out of line every now and then" behind the scenes, adding "what great one doesn't? Find me a great one that doesn't do the same things I've done and I'll stop playing. Period." HOF Class of '08 Art Monk comes to mind.

What an a$$. Great one? What a narcicist! Not even T.O. has that big of an ego. Oh, and Chad? Isaac Bruce never did that either.

Are the Red Sox going to do it again? They won tonight to force a game 7. Getting a fourth win in a series against them seems pretty tough lately.

Got up at 4 this morning to watch the last few innings live.
I must admit after game 5 I thought if the Red Sox win game 6 they will win game 7. Must admit I was glad to be wrong, nothing against Boston, just delighted The Rays have made it to the WS.

isn't it odd how in a football game if 2 players start shoving each other the camera goes to an aerial view of the city or a close up of the cheerleaders, but in hockey 2 guys could hint at dropping the gloves and every camera in the building would be on those two while someone else scores the most brilliant goal in history that nobody ever sees?
no wonder i'm watching more hockey than football these days.

Congratulations to the Pittsburgh Steelers. One of the greatest Super Bowls ever. Fantastic finish. Even though I wanted Arizona to win, it was a lot of fun. Kurt Warner is amazing.

has anyone beat themselves more on one drive than the cardinals? seriously, 3 personal fouls on one drive? they would've been better off just taking their entire defense off the field and the steelers walk it in.
i know all the news channels are talking about is the TD catch by santonio at the end of the game, but the most memorable play to me is james harrison's 100 yard INT return. also notice that the 2 guys who finally took him down at the goal line both played in pittsburgh, one in college and the other in high school.
i don't know if anyone else is hearing about it but i keep seeing all this stuff on the news about how the oakland section of town was pretty much trashed last night by all the college kids. it makes me wonder why winning a super bowl (or something similar) makes people go out and turn cars over, set things on fire, and smash windows.
