SNARK - FREE ZONE must read guideline, READ, READ PLEASE, you are responsible

The AmTam message forums were set up and designed for the fans of Amber to be able to communicate with each other in a safe, friendly, online environment; to dish about the projects that Amber has been involved with...not only the entertainment projects, television and movies, but also the artistic and socially conscious concerns that Amber involves herself...and her fans with on a regular basis.

The moderators and Administrators of AmTam work very hard to keep this environment safe, friendly and open to everyone, no matter their sex, creed, religion, upbringing, background, color, geographic origin... in short, Democratic, Republican, pro-choice, pro-life, purple people eaters from outer Macedonia...you name it - EVERYONE is welcome here if they are here with sincere purpose and thought.

We're pretty strict in our posting guidelines - we have to be - we don't want anyone feeling uncomfortable or that their ideas and voices don't carry as much weight as anyone elses. So we err on the cautious side, to keep this forum open to as many as wish to be here and give of themselves sincerely and openly.

Unfortunately, we haven't been able to stop the sly, the subtle, the sneaky posters who feel that verbal abuse of our posters done in a "joking" or teasing way is acceptable here or that they're somehow more superior in their viewpoints than any other poster.

These are the folks who will come into a forum, read a poster's sincere viewpoint and then denigrate or belittle it in the interests of "good clean fun", then when a poster gets legitimately upset, excuses their way out by way of saying "I was only kidding", "get a thicker skin", "can't you take a joke?" and other banal comments, placing the blame for their poor behavior on the injured poster.

There are posters here who have been effected by this type of abuse (and it IS abuse folks) their entire lives. Everyone needs to watch what they say and how they say it. That doesn't mean you can't speak your mind, but there are ways of debating and discussing even extremely "hot" issues without picking apart the poster who's disagreeing with you.

VERBAL ABUSE AND INTOLERANCE IN ANY WAY, SHAPE OR FORM IS NOT ACCEPTABLE AT AMTAM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES WHATSOEVER!

Are we clear on that? Because, if any AmTam staffer feels that subtle, sly, sneaky verbal abuse is occurring on a poster, we're going to delete the post. There are no rules on this, there is no black and white area, it will be left up to the Administrators and moderators and all decisions will be final. You don't have to like it, you can whine and complain about how unfair we're being and vow never to return, but this is what it's going to be.

Read the rules folks, Respect for this forum, Respect for the fact that Amber and Bonnie take the time out to personally interact with you and share with you their personal and professional lives, Respect for EACH OTHER.

- Amber wishes everyone to have the right to express himself or herself whether they agree with her or not. Amber does not want her message board turned into a war zone or a place where people are insulted. Bashing of actors, other message boards or fellow posters will be deleted and a private warning message will be sent.

- A "bash" is not just a simple critique or opinion of what one is doing right or wrong. A bash is not just the simple expression of opinion. A bash is the verbal tearing down of a person. This is not to be tolerated.
