INAPPROPRIATE MATERIAL

This is a fan club and message board for Amber Tamblyn, a actress and poet. Amber has a fan base that includes many young men and women who are in their teens and younger. Since AMTAM.com is a general audience web site by law, all forum content must adhere to COPPA and CIPA laws. As the country of origin of amtam.com is the USA, all laws of the United States apply here and should be used as a guideline for what you may post on the boards. Please post only Family Friendly messages and information as per guidelines below. As a family friendly site anything above PG or including inappropriate material as labeled below will be pulled.

What’s considered to be Inappropriate Material?

Some material may not be suitable for children or teens, the material may need to be examined by their parents before children/teens are exposed to it, and so we do not allow it.

For our application on these boards, sexually - oriented nudity, or inferences about sex, including genitalia and adult entertainment in regards to fanfic, jokes, stories, language or posting is to be avoided.

Horror and violence are not to be allowed.

Profanity: Any language that is considered to be violating Family Friendly guidelines (swearing, name calling, etc.) will not be tolerated.

Personal Information: refrain from giving out your own personal information on these boards. For your safety, posts including too much personal information will be pulled.

- Any link or mention of a web site that is not also Family Friendly and whose content does not adhere to the same rules as amtam.com will be deleted from the post. It is your responsibility to thoroughly check the site, as well as any links leading out to other sites, prior to posting.

Our policy has been established in accordance with the COPPA and CIPA laws enacted to protect children under the age of 13 from viewing content deemed inappropriate and to protect their privacy.

If you are posting on Amber’s board, your Private Messagebox feature is automatically turned on. This allows other board members to send you messages without them knowing your private e-mail and it allows the moderators to send messages and notifications if certain situations arise. Any member who found to be abusing the PM feature of this board by PMing members excessively or PMing them inappropriate material such as pornagraphic links, inflammatory remarks, etc. will lose this feature immediately without warning!



POST in the appropriate forum! This makes is easier to carry on conversations with other posters who share similar interests and keeps everything orderly for visitors and moderators. Take the time to review the many forums and post in the forum that best suits your subject.

Custom Signature Size Restrictions

Due to loading time and large monitor space being taken, we are restricting sig size.
Custom sigs contribute to a fun place. However we also want the board accessible and enjoyable for everyone.

Posters will be limited to ONE single image in their custom signature; NO larger than 248 pixels wide x 100 pixels tall and 600 characters of text per signature. Any signatures larger than this will be disabled and a warning letter will be sent.

Posting links to downloading/ tape-selling sites is prohibited

The "fair use" clause which exists in current U.S. copyright laws. Reproducing and re-distributing copyright protected broadcast programming (such as Charmed or any other copyright protected television show) is a violation of U.S. copyright law.

It is illegal in the US. Liability can extend to other parties contributing to the sale and proliferation of the copyright violation therefore we cannot allow the posting of any links on Amber's site which advertises the sale of illegally produced taped programming.

In addition, downloading copyrighted materials (including music, movies, television shows, etc.) is also illegal.
Because of the legalities involved, Amtam cannot be a part of promoting any downloading of copyrighted materials, and no links to sites used for downloading will be allowed on the board.

This is the Official site for actress and author Amber Tamblyn. All sites, blogs, message boards, chats, tag boards etc. making claims to be Amber Tamblyn or affiliated with her in any manner are making false claims, unless they are linked here or at amtam.com, the official portal for Amber's work.

We've been pleased to see what a large and diverse fan base Amber has - from all over the world. Unfortunately we have noticed a bit of a problem in the use of different languages on the Amtam board in the past.



There are many folks who visit who speak other languages. But, because this is a Family Friendly, family friendly site that must comply with COPPA and CIPA laws, we've asked that you post your comments in English. Our moderators are not well versed in other languages and we would feel we were not doing our jobs properly if we missed an inappropriate post because it was posted in Portuguese or Spanish or another language.


We have no choice but in the future will delete all posts not written in English. We appreciate your understanding and assistance in posting according to our family friendly guidelines.

Posting here is a privilege. Having access to Amber and her family here, is a privilege. Remember that please... and respect it. These rules and posting guidelines are in place to protect everyone and are not open for discussion or debate. This message board is to be a fun place for ALL of Amber's fans to visit, without worrying about inappropriate adult humor or links to information in questionable taste.
